Facts About Carers London: The Association of London Government ALG has identified carers as a specific target. There are estimated to be about 730,000 carers living in London. The care London Carers provides is estimated to save London's statutory authorities over £6 billion a year. Carers London's services are available to all carers in London, Language Line is available for carers whose first language may not be English. Carers London's in-depth knowledge and commitment to building capacity is shown through the organisation, facilitation and support of the networks; · The London Black Carers Workers Network (136 members) · Supporting carers in London Network (90 members) · London Young carers Workers Forum (33 members) · London Forum of Carers (238 members) · London Carers Centres Chair meeting (27 organisations) Carers London seeks and supports individual carers to represent carers' views at the London Carers coalition, the Social Services inspectorate and the London Modernisation Boards.
