Previously delivered projects by Black & Minority Ethnic Carers Support Service (BMECSS).

Care Workers Skill Development Project

This project was funded by Learning + Skills Council with an aim to provide suitably qualified (NVQ II) work force in care industry.

Care Workers Project

This programme was funded by Project Employ Urban Futures and Haringey Council. It provided free training in First Aid, Manual Handling, Health & Safety, Record Keeping & Personal Hygiene to BME unemployed people interested in care work.

Haringey Bereavement Support Project

The aim of the project was to provide culturally appropriate support to families facing bereavement. This project was delivered in partnership with North London Hospice, Haringey Teaching Primary Care Trust and Macmillan Nurses.

Haringey Carers Consultative Forum

This project was commissioned by Haringey Community Empowerment Network. The aim was to consult Carers on new service development and policies and advise Haringey Strategic Partnership on the needs of Carers and inform development of new services.

North London Carers Learning Network

The project was funded by Learning + Skills Council and European union( European Social Fund) with an aim to develop a learning network across North London for Carers and to motivate Carers towards their personal development and enhance learning. Also to inform adult Carers in North London about network and provide carers with training needs assessment.

 

Black & Minority Ethnic Carers Support Group

This project is funded by ABG (Area Base Grants). This project arranges different programmes for the carers e.g., arrange a day out for the carers, trips to different places, carers day events, massage events and many more.

All these events help carers to come out from their daily life and discuss their issues and problems with us and other carers.
